our mission

Our mission is to improve lives and build healthier communities in South Carolina by growing and promoting tennis as a lifelong sport. We measure our success not only by the number of USTA members that we serve in S.C., but also by the number of people who participate in tennis. This includes the various ways people get involved in tennis, ranging from beginners playing together at a local park to longtime players competing in structured leagues at private clubs.

diversity, equity & inclusion

The USTA SC Board of Directors has adopted the following statement of commitment to diversity: USTA South Carolina is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion as a strategic priority. We welcome all people who play, watch, support and enjoy the game of tennis into our events, programs, membership, and leadership and will not discriminate on any basis. We embrace our differences and strive to create an environment that is inclusive, provides equal access, and serves members of the tennis community fairly and with mutual respect. We will develop, promote, and support efforts to grow the game of tennis within diverse communities throughout the state of South Carolina. learn more
